but nothing has changed and the 'restore sound library' is still on the menu.

How did you check that?

Question: Q: Mac Pro frozen on blue screen at startup Went to start up my computer this morning and my Mac Pro continues to freeze on the blue screen during startup. I have tried to reboot several times but with same results and a spinning sundial. I have a mid-2009 MacBook Pro, all original equipment, that I 'upgraded' (ugh) to El Capitan in early January 2016. Most things still work, though boot and login are noticeably slower than in Lion. (I skipped Mountain Lion and Mavericks, and went to Yosemite in January 2015.).

The 'restore sound library' option will always be available. What are you expecting to change? Did you previously have the additional content installed? If not, you should now see more than one Drummer installed and more than 1500 loops.

Question: Q: MacBook Pro (2009) won't reboot or restore My MBPro recently greeted me at the grey startup screen w/ Apple logo and despite my efforts I cannot get past it. I can boot to recovery mode successfully. Problem is I wiped the hard drive that is now in my old Macbook before selling it and whatever I do I get this error: Os x could not be installed on you computer. No packages were eligible for install. What i did so far:-I rebuilt another usb drive from a new El Capitan freshly downloaded from the App store.-I formatted the hard drive, again. Find the serial number either outside or on a booting Mac under the Apple Menu About This Mac More Information, thus find the Model Identifier (like 'MacBook Pro 4,1') and thus with MacTracker gives the operating system that originally came with the machine. However gives not what operating system version the boot drive was later upgraded to.

The additional loops may not show, if you have the preference 'keyword browsing' enabled in the 'GarageBand preferences > Advanced' panel. Disable it, to see all loops in the Loop Browser.

Hello TomBuyvoets,

Free Apps For Macbook Pro

I understand that you're looking to install El Capitan on a MacBook Pro that you've just purchased. Take a look at the following information that we have published on the subject:

How to get El Capitan

Now that macOS Sierra is available, you should upgrade to Sierra instead of El Capitan.

  • If your Mac doesn't support Sierra, or you're using Snow Leopard and would like to upgrade to Sierra, you can get El Capitan from the App Store.
  • If you downloaded El Capitan from the App Store before Sierra became available, you can still reinstall El Capitan from the App Store.

Upgrade to OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

All my best!
